Hosted in the home of the Espíritu Libre salsa band of Honolulu, and home of the unofficial BOHEMIAN CIRCLE of Honolulu.

(NOTE: Not fully accessible for handicapped persons, but they are not excluded. We can carry them up, if we know when to be ready for that. Disclaimer: Use handrails as you walk up the steps to the house of amphitheater. Whether invited or not, everyone attends at their own risk. Children are welcomed, but must be constantly monitored and behavior controlled by their official parents.)

6pm -- Party and information booth
6:30pm -- Panos Talk Story
7:30pm -- live entertainment begins (Mariachi music, story telling, and original compositions by Adela Chú)
Party ends at a descent hour, out of respect to the neighbors.

Parking suggestions for this KAIMUKI Talk Story w/ Dr. PANOS:

As you can see in the sideways sketch below, parking is for the neighbors on the same DEAD-END STREET. Please use the following maps to park away from the house, and then walk to the house. In addition, there are several levels of steps (with landings) to get to the amphitheater where the Talk Story will be held. (no need to exercise more that day!)

Invitations have the exact address, and are for the purpose of limiting # of guests, in the case of a rainy day.

We will sit on cement platforms, as in a real amphitheater (maybe bring a towel?) There is some shade under a tree, and the house shades the amphitheater.

Guests are asked to bring some drinks and potluck, and contact the coordinators:
Indoors: Adela Chú
Outdoors: Susana DeVilbiss
Amphitheater amplification: Juan DeVilbiss (me)
PANOS campaign information booth: PANOS volunteers in proper tee-shirt attire :)
RESERVED PARKING FOR Dr. PANOS: One parking slot on house's driveway

If you'd like to listen to PANOS, in person and for Q & A period, whether you are for or against the authorization of the Rail construction, you can write me at Please@hawaii.rr.com for more information. The Talk Story session is at a private party which begins at 6pm. PANOS is scheduled to start the Talk Story session at 6:30pm, or at whatever time he can make it. The reserved parking is for Dr. PANOS, at the foot of the house. Please present your invitation at the information booth, half-way up the steep stairs to the house and amphitheatre behind the host's home.

Some live musical entertainment is planned from 7:30pm by professional musicians (World music).

Please park near the intersection of 16th ave. and Claudine St., in Kaimuki (mauka from Waialae Ave.), since street parking near the host's home is respectfully kept available for the neighbors, and some will be coming to the party.

(In the event of rain, the party and Talk Story will go indoors.)

Planning for this Talk Story in Kaimuki, near 16th ave. intersection with Claudine Street is coming along well.

We will have two microphones set up, and coolers for drinks guests bring, and a place for potluck foods we will keep in the kitchen until after PANOS is finished with the Talk Story.

This is what I call the Bohemian Circle, though the name is not official. The group of artists (sculptors, musicians, painters, story-tellers, professional dancers, capoera gymnasts and Brazilian carnaval dressups), intellectuals, and people who like healthy fun and strong conversations, meets about every 3 months, and we never know who we are going to have present. But it is always sane, healthy, good interaction.

The hosts are Adela & Kim Duffett. Adela is a professional Spanish and Dance teacher; and Kim is an excellent sculptor who is to turn in a commission the day before the Talk Story.

Check out Kim's bronze sculptures commissioned by the Hilton Hawaiian Village:

Party starts at 6pm, September 1, WEDNESDAY evening.
Live musical entertainment will follow the Talk Story.

By invitation only, please email Please@hawaii.rr.com with the word "PANOS" in the Subject of the email, and we'll see if there is still room. We will be sending a map to the house, and instructions as to where to park.

Maximum capacity of the amphitheater behind the house is 50 people.
