FEIS for Rail - Is the Rail Guide-Way Protected from Terrorism?

The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the proposed Rail project on Oahu is a required step in a long chain of steps. It is not, in itself, complete approval for the project, or it wouldn't be at the Governor's desk awaiting signature. There is an aspect on Rail that is hardly ever mentioned. The risk to terrorism. My car hardly would attract the attention of a terrorist group. I feel much safer in it, than…See More

Rail on a nice day..... photo. So what happens when it's RAINING??

Ups ! I guess the City forgot that one year it rained on Oahu for 41 days in a row. It was horrible. So, if Rail is supposed to convince people to leave their cars home (or not own one), and use the Rail to get places.... what happens when it rains? Same thing that happens on The Bus - you get soaked :) But buses can go lots of places, because cheaper. They even go up the ridges, almost empty...A car is more than a form of transportation: it is an extension of our home, a capsule of protection,…See More

Please share with everyone why you are joining the Panos for Progress campaign
Honolulu could be the most beautiful, cleanest, healthiest metropolitan city in the USA, but as it grows, the dynamics of special interests come more and more into play. Many voters have need of jobs or contracts to remain on this island. How much can the island population grow and still keep from becoming another New York City in terms of congestion is a question few will agree upon. Jobs are possible in Dr. Panos' plan, very informed and intelligent plans. We need to inform people about a "better way" than the usual way Honolulu does things, with favoritism.

Lying to the Masses - If we elect politicians who lie to us, we deserve the consequences.

The Honolulu proposed Rail project is a Mega-project that requires a forceful approach to get Oahu's population to support it.

It requires hiding the negative aspects and highlighting the positive aspects, through large investments on media publicity, paid publicity consultants, and a great…
