The Public Wants Traffic Relief
By Ben Ramelb, 7/25/2008 7:07:05 AM
Traffic Relief! Traffic relief! The public wants traffic relief from the mass transit system, nothing less.
University of Hawaii Professor Panos Prevedouros prepared a 2008 study which shows new bus transit ways will reduce traffic congestion on H-1 by 35 Percent, for $900 million.
The city spent $10 million for a 2006 transit study which shows Rail Transit will not provide traffic relief.
It is preposterous, I repeat, preposterous, to build a $6 billion rail transit which will not provide traffic relief.
