For second time in a row, we run the most cost effective campaign, according to this excerpted Civil Beat analysis:

Carlisle beat acting mayor Kirk Caldwell, also 57, who trailed Carlisle with 34.6 percent of votes. Engineer Panos Prevedouros, 48, drew 18.9 percent of votes. City Councilman Rod Tam earned 1.4 percent of votes.

Carlisle spent $429,535 on his campaign, meaning he spent an average of $5.71 per vote for his 75,276 votes.

Runner-up Caldwell spent more than twice as much as Calisle, $889,789, but only garnered 34.6 percent of votes. Caldwell spent an average of $13.23 per vote for each of his 67,246 votes.

Prevedouros spent $107,028 on his campaign, or an average of just $2.92 per vote for his 36,627 votes, 18.9 percent of the votes.

Rod Tam spent $77,530 on his campaign, or an average of $28.13 per vote for his 2,756 votes, 1.4 percent of the votes.

Civil Beat's election result numbers were preliminary. The final result is as follows:

CALDWELL, Kirk 71,815 34.6% Final cost per vote = $12.39
PREVEDOUROS, Panos 38,439 18.5% Final cost per vote = $2.78
